With 13 years of experience in the transportation sector, he served as Adviser in the Office of the Secretary of State for Transport of the XVII Constitutional Government (2007–2009). Since then, he has held public administration roles in various mobility and transportation-related companies, including the Administration of the Port of Lisbon Administration, Carris (Lisbon Bus Company), Lisbon Metro (Metropolitano de Lisboa), Transtejo and Soflusa, and their subsidiaries Carristur, Ferconsult, Metrocom, and Otlis.

His career also includes seven years at Caixa — Banco de Investimento, where he was responsible for the SMEs and Corporate Debt Departments. He began his professional journey in 1992 at Banco Nacional Ultramarino, working in various areas, notably the Planning and Budget Office and the financial services of the Large Enterprises Department.

With over three decades of professional experience, he holds a Master’s in Financial Analysis and a Bachelor’s in Management. He also taught Financial Calculus at Lusíada University from 1992 to 2001.
